How Our Pricing Works
With the nature of our work being so dynamic, we’ve typically heard two primary complaints across the industry:
When can we expect you?
How much will it cost?
First, we generally don’t do on site estimates, and we don’t work hourly specifically for these reasons. To do an on site estimate pulls us off of other “tool time” and that means that clients need to wait longer to get service. Not ideal. Certainly, if we can’t get things sorted with a phone call, photos, or video/facetime, we’ll be happy to stop by. At the end of the day, we want our customers to feel heard, and be sure we can work efficiently. This is also why we don’t work hourly. For us to work hourly and pick up 1 small job here, and another small job across the city, we would need to build in trip charges. Rather than doing that, we would prefer to book you in a time block that can maximize our time on site, helping you with your problems, and de-stressing your life, and this will save you lots of time, and money in the long run.
Secondly, “how much will it cost”. Well, I’m a professional. Anyone working with me, or that I would recommend, is a professional. My business is completely above board, insured, and we happily pay Uncle Sam every year. We set our prices high enough so that we can deliver the exceptional quality, service, and professionalism that you’re looking for. If you’re looking for something to be done with cheap labor, we respectfully ask that you save us both some time and look elsewhere.
Our Win-Win Pricing and Scheduling
Small Job - Two Hour Minimum
For a small job, we would book you into our two hour block. As we mentioned, there’s no other trip fees or tricks. The only other costs to you are the materials used for your job, which you can supply, or we can and you’ll pay what we pay.
Medium or Multiple Jobs - Four Hour Block
If it’s a job we’re not sure we’ll finish in under two hours, we would recommend that you book our half day service and find a few other projects around the house that we can do in case we do finish early. We’re also happy to inspect your home to make recommendations to compile a list. This block is great for honey-do or punch lists!
Large, Complex, and/or Multiple Jobs - Six Hour Block
For larger lists, or bigger projects we would suggest this block. In addition, if your project is high on the uncertainty scale, then we would put you into this category as well and offer the same sort of advice about compiling a list in case we finish early. We’re also able to offer multiple day services, or extended hours as available here, to best accommodate the project. This block will also offer you the greatest discount on our rates.
