Working across five different trades, I’ve seen it all. From work being done against code, cheap products used in place of wise solutions, to fixing something without understanding what caused it… so it just happens again.

These aren’t done in the best interest of your home, and certainly not in the best interest of the customer.

We’re a family run business. When you fill out our web form, our owner David Cardarelli, “DC” as he’s known will be notified right away, and as soon as he can put the tools down, you’ll get a call from him to discuss your project.

We aren’t in the business of wasting anyone’s time or money. We’re here to talk with you and be sure we understand what your concerns are, provide you with what options might exist, and then offer our own recommendation on what we would do in our own home if we were in your shoes. We won’t talk about the job in complex terms because we’re as much there to help you understand our work, and our reasoning as we are to help fix your home.

At the end of our service, we want you to feel like the problem never existed, and we were never there (though we would really appreciate it if you told your friends that we were there, and did a great job!).

A Few Examples of our Work

  • Preventing Ice Dams

    A client having lots of trouble with ice dams over winter. With their attic insulation correctly redone, but the problem still persisting. We tested the temperature and airflow in their attic over a week and determined that the best course of action would be to install vented soffits to cool the eaves and roofing surface. This simple diagnosis, and upgrade has saved the client thousands of dollars in ice dam steam service, because they no longer get ice dams.

  • Bashing Knuckles on Door

    A client wanted to have a handle instead of a knob on their door, but the handle that was installed previously required too much sweep to open the door, and they were constantly bashing their knuckles on the trim, ouch! We've seen this, and were happy to recommend an Emtek 28 degree rotation latch that provides a full turn of the handle, in just the 28 degrees you see here. A creative solution for a problem that should never have existed.

  • Custom Knife Holder and Shelving

    A client had remodeled their kitchen, and wanted some open storage. We were able to build a custom shelf with metal strapping supports that allowed us to add stemware storage to the shelving. We also installed a custom silicone magnetic knife holder which added not only great storage, but a really great accent piece to this beautiful kitchen!

  • Custom Bicycle Lock-up

    A client wanted something simple and discreet where they could lock up their bicycles, but not trip over or look like a bike shop. We took a piece of REBAR and bent it so it wouldn't be a trip hazard, welded 2 plates onto each end. Secured it to the concrete, and the framing, and then covered the hardware with a nice shroud and painted the entire thing with plasti-dip so it carries a rubberized coating and won't rust, or scratch their bikes.

  • Constant First Floor Flooding

    At a client’s home in the Carolina’s where the client had flooding for years during heavy rains. Previously the homeowner had installed all sorts of “solutions” to move the water out of the house. DC advised to install a 100ft french drain to prevent the water from reaching the house. Since this install, the house hasn’t flooded once, even in hurricanes, and has saved the homeowner thousands of dollars.
